Not that Google Maps is available on Windows Phone, interestingly enough, Google's recently overtaken Waze service just launched on Windows Phone. Waze is a community based mapping, traffic and navigation app with 60 million participants. It allows to join forces with other drivers nearby to outsmart traffic, save time and gas money, and improving everyone's daily commute. By simply driving around with Waze open, users have already contributing tons of real-time traffic and road info to the local driving community. Furthermore it's possible for participants to actively report accidents, hazards, police and other events seen on the road as well as receiving road alerts from others on route.
Waze for Windows Phone allows to find the cheapest gas station along a route with community-shared fuel prices. Since Waze is all about contributing to and benefiting from the "common good" on the road, it needs active participants to make it an even better and accurate service!
Waze for Windows Phone features live routing based on community generated, real-time traffic and road info, community contributed road alerts including accidents, hazards, police traps, road closures and more, automatic re-routing as conditions on the road change. Furthermore it learns the user's frequent destinations, commuting hours and preferred routes, finds the cheapest gas station along a route, is able to notify someone by sending a live ETA and a link showing you as a user drives.
