Please don't wonder, that PPCW.Net will not be updated within the next 5 days but again I'm away. This time for a business trip with additional vacation during the weekend. I will go to Oslo, Norway and please cross the fingers, that the weather will be okay.

So please be patience but the news feed will keep you updated anyhow. See you next Tuesday. BTW: this time I will have for sure no GPRS connection :-( so I will not be able to read your E-Mails, contributions and input before Tuesday!

Cheers ~ Arne

Do not worry, we have around 25C during the day with a small cooling shower in the afternoon. And it is supposed to be like this for the weekend.
I do not you would have a problem with GPRS in Oslo. I am running my 3970 with GPRS jacket connected all day (My provider is Netcom).
Enjoy Oslo it is a great city but rather expensive

(living in Oslo)

@Petter: The weather sounds good! :-) Cool showers are okay, this will save me from the shower in the morning... ;-)

Well, the GPRS problem comes from the missing GPRS roaming. Even if I'm using O2 - DE/VIAG Interkom and Telenor was the previous shareholder, there is no GPRS roaming today... :'-(
So I have to dial-in through CSD and will access my personal E-Mails only...

But thanks a lot for your feedback, specially regarding the weather! :-)

If you get the chance try Netcom. I tested Telenor before I went with Netcom. The coverage and uptime was better in Oslo.
As far as I remember I had the possibilty to us GPRS (T39)in Germany (Hamburg)with my Netcom provider in Germany. I dont remember the name

@Petter: Yes, I will go with Netcom because the Roaming charges are the better one!
Well, I will try - I have 3 SIM cards from 4 available German operators with me, maybe one will fits? ;-) Cross the fingers...

Thanks again for your feedback! I'm logging out now, my flight is scheduled for 8am tomorrow...

Woohoo... GPRS Roaming works with my German O2 card on the Telenor network even if O2 - DE has no clue that it does... But I have no clue of the costs...

Hope you having a good time.

1 kb will cost you 0.10 kr up to 1mb and after that it is 0.025 up to 20mb

@Petter: Good news for me, I wasn't invoiced for my GPRS access on the Telenor network. Seems as the GRX between o2 Germany and Telenor is not in place commercially now... :-)
