As I had to announce on July 31st the PPCW.Net i-Mate Smartphone 2002 was temporary out of stock or better said: "sold out"... ;-)
However, as promised I awaited a new batch of devices to arrive mid of August. Okay, it's a little bit later now (I've missed the goal for 4 days only, not bad ;-)) but today the new batches arrived and the Smartphone is ready for immediate shipping (normally within 24 hours after I received payments).
So no reason to whine that still no Smartphone is available in your Country because here you get it - as before - SIM Free (no SIM lock so it works with any GSM 900, 1800 or 1900 MHz SIM card/network) and without any application locks which allows you to install virtually every Smartphone software (doesn't matter if code-signed or not) on your device.

I'm so tempted to put my toe in the water and order an i-Mate, but am wondering if you have heard anything about when they may ship with Smartphone 2003 on them. I need multiple email accounts, and yes, I read your latest review of Sunnysoft MailCenter, but don't believe I should have to pay extra for something that is going to be there in the next release of software. Convince to either buy now or wait for Smartphone 2003, please!

Unfortunately I can not comment when or even if it is released with Smartphone 2003. I'm working on it (on an i-Mate update to SMP 2003) but I can't confirm today that it will be available nor I can promise it.
I'm doing hard and my best but all the stuff depends on several facts and I'm the last in the whole line.
Also no official release date for the international Smartphone 2003 version was given so far by Microsoft so yes - maybe it is released soon, maybe it still takes longer then expected (at least I hope that Microsoft takes all the time they need to make 2003 what the user expected; if this means a release one or two month later - fine for me as long as it has fixed the major problems and issues).
You are right that a Smartphone 2002 should have multiple E-Mail accounts but is haven't; unfortunately. But the Sunnysoft solution works good so far and it always depends on what you expect and if there is a better solution.
Take PIM replacements like Agenda Fusion or Pocket Informant. Why to pay for these apps since PPC already has Contacts and Calendar...
I believe that Microsoft mobile device apps will never be perfect but that's fine for me since it gives 3rd party developers enough room and space to develop what users need. Microsoft can deliver the platform only.

Any posibilities to pay with e-currency such as e-gold ?
E-gold is worldwide used right now.

Yudhi: Only "real" money is accepted - no virtual silver, no virtual gold, no virtual diamonds. Only "$ and € are a business men's best friend" :-)
Sorry, but I can't accept anything else then PayPal or Money Transfer. I hope you understand.

Will you perhaps also be selling the XDA2 sim-freed in the future?
I'm interested in one, and there will probably be no way of aquiring one in Finland (the XDA isn't even sold here AFAIK). ;-(

@ Filip Norrgård: Maybe, maybe not. Let's wait what the future brings. At least it also depends on how many carriers will introduce it.
Don't forget that PPCW.Net isn't an online shop at all but the PPCW.Net i-Mate is a service for everybody out there who can not buy a Smartphone today because it's not available in their region.

@ Arne: Yep, let's see what the future brings.
Thanks for a great site and service!

I was in London in 25 of july for a seminar on the .NET Compact Framework and i have seen a device with smartphone 2003 on it and the CF installed on the rom. The OS is ready from Microsoft, i think they are waiting so they can make an agreement with as much companies as they can.
