PhatWare Corporation has just released the updated version of CalliGrapher® which now includes Dutch and Portuguese handwriting support for Pocket PCs. PhatWare CalliGrapher®, now on version 6.5.1, has been optimized to take up a smaller memory footprint to increase its responsiveness and to provide compatibility with a wider range of third-party applications.

CalliGrapher® 6.5.1 is a full featured natural handwriting recognition software that analyzes pen strokes written on the PocketPC screen and converts these pen strokes into text. CalliGrapher® also offers a comprehensive spell checker which is accessible from any application on your mobile device. It also includes the PenCommander, a utility that allows users to create and execute command scripts by simply writing a word command and drawing a circle around it. Another unique feature of CalliGrapher® is its Internet Recognition Mode. This mode is designed to enter Internet and Email addresses in which CalliGrapher® does not output any spaces and the recognition engine is adjusted to better recognize such words as ftp, http, www, etc.

English handwriting support comes standard with CalliGrapher®. Additional Language Packs are sold separately and are available for the following languages: Dutch, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish.

As a Special Offer, all Pocket PC 2002 users can purchase CalliGrapher® for a special upgrade price of $29.95. List price for CalliGrapher 6.5.1 is $39.95; however, the product is available as a FREE upgrade for current CalliGrapher 6.X users. Language packs are sold separately at a price of $14.95 each.
