Hi Arne,

I've been wanting an i-mate JAM for ages..
Have read that there is an i-mate JAM2 coming out with wi-fi sometime in the future...
Do you know of any further news???

..oh by the way... I like your cool new revamped site

~cheers

bendigo, sure - there will come a "JAM 2" sooner or later, that's sure but honestly, I haven't heard anything serious then rumors yet.
Also, if a JAM 2 would be that close, I'm sure neither Vodafone nor Orange would release it yet but would wait for the new version. However, both just released their JAM version this month or are going to release it soon (Orange UK is going to release the "JAM" next moth as far as I heard).
So waiting for the JAM could take longer then you expect today. Also my sources haven't given me any indications for a follower yet.

Also thanks for the kind words about the site launch, I enjoy it too - every time I click on "home". smile

If you have any further questions, please let me know!

The Jam2 is just a rumor for now.  The rumors sprang from i-mates move to install skype in all their devices.  It's been a while now and still no confirmation... and no more hype.

I was looking at the SP3i that is listed here, and it shows 900Mhz opposed to 850Mhz....does that make this phone an International version as opposed to US Cingular.

I believe that Cingular uses the 850Mhz, and not 900, correct?  I am NOT sure what TMobile uses.

I would be interested in using with Cingular/AT&T. I am guessing this wouln't be the right version for me?

Thx

Yes, you are right. Cingular/AT&T are using 850 MHz instead of the commonly used 900 MHz or 1800 MHz. The 1900 MHz which supports the SP3i is used by T-Mobile in North America as well as by the Canadian and South American carriers.

Is it just me, or is the Jam nowhere to be found in the store?  I see a lot of links and referance to it, but can't seem to find a place to actually purchase it.  Is it out of stock?  I'm not planning on buying just yet or anything, just researching.

Thanks for the notification!!! You are right, it was "out of stock" because someone "funny" ordered tonight 50+ devices, with a fake address. sad
Therefore it disappeared shortly but is back now.

Thanks for letting me know.

That's just lame.  Well, at least I can find it in the store now.  Thanks.  That is a great deal on a Jam!  Wish it was upgrade time!

Hi bendingo! Yes, the SP3i works fine in New Zealand as well as with Vodafone see here for more information about VF New Zealand: http://www.gsmworld.com/roaming/gsminfo/net_nzbe.shtml).

Shipping costs are calculated real time and always depends on how you want to get it shipped (postal airmail service or FedEx). While airmail is cheaper it's also slower and doesn't provides tracking numbers. FedEx is way faster and provides online tracking.
All shipping options are calculated real time and you will be informed before you checkout. Just give it a try and register an account with the Online Shop.

If you have further questions, please let me know!
