SPECULATION: What is Sprint launching on July 4th?

Okay, Sprint is definitely launching anything on July 4th but now it comes to the question what it is. According to Sprint's pre-announcement page, which Sprint calls "Welcome to the Wireless Evolution" (and which counts down), the device is capable of Music, Messaging, TV, Search and Navigation!
Most likely not a Windows Mobile device, if not a user over at HowardForums has posted a confidential release plan early this month, which lists a couple of possible (Windows Mobile) devices for the July time frame - namely the Samsung i760 Windows Mobile Pocket PC Phone Edition, the Palm Treo 755 (which is most likely a Palm OS-based device) but also the UTS Libra SMT 5800 (aka HTC S720) and the UTS Titan XV 6800 (aka the CDMA version of the HTC Hermes):

While non of the above mentioned devices have inbuilt TV or navigation capabilities it must be one of the devices - if we believe Sprint's leaked release plan. Or is it just a service enhancement and not device-related in any way?
Does anyone knows more?

Cheers ~ Arne

With Navigation on the count down clock, I would think that Sprint has worked out a deal to launch a mobile platform named Qode.

Qode provides one click access to physical world objects so that the user is directed to content.

Just so you know, William Hoffman was announced CEO at Neomedia just recently.  Guess where he came from, Sprint.

Just an opinion.

Why is Sprint cutting edge?

Sprint/Nextel had Flarion technology pulled out from under them by Qualcomm?

What is the secret?  All of this to compete with Apple's iPhone?

From the Neomedia Press release:
NeoMedia Technologies, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: NEOM), announced today that it has appointed William Hoffman, 45, a senior technology executive with extensive global technology and telecommunications industry experience, as its chief executive officer, effective June 18.

Mr. Hoffman, who has served as president, CEO and COO for several other telecommunications companies, also spent 8 years with Sprint managing Sprint's business services throughout the state of Florida.

NeoMedia Technologies, Inc. (, OTC BB: NEOM), is a global leader in mobile enterprise and marketing technology, bridging the physical and electronic world with innovative direct-to-mobile-Web technology solutions. NeoMedia's flagship qode(R) service links the world's leading companies to the wireless, electronic world. NeoMedia is headquartered in Fort Myers, Fla., with an office in Aachen, Germany.

IMO, the signs are there.

Am I reading betwwen the lines our thinking out of the box?????

Let me know your thoughts,

I guess it just goes along with the title of SPECULATION.
