HTC Europe recently published an announcement about its Windows Mobile device upgrade strategy for its currently available Windows Mobile 5.0 Pocket PC Phone Editions and Smartphones. Microsoft's recently unveiled Windows Mobile 6 operating system offers improved usability and more PC-like functionality than previously available. Enhancements include the ability to view E-Mail in rich HTML format and to manage E-Mail quickly and easily through new shortcuts and new calendar views.
The also recently announced HTC S710 is one of the first Windows Mobile 6 devices to ship and will be followed by a range of products based on the new operating system in the coming months.

However, HTC is also committed to offer Windows Mobile 6 upgrades for the most recent and popular devices in its current range. This includes recently launched "messaging" products, which will enjoy the greatest benefits of Windows Mobile 6, including the HTC Advantage (aka HTC Athena), the HTC TyTN (aka HTC Hermes), the HTC S620 (aka HTC Excalibur) and the HTC P4350 (aka HTC Herald). The upgrade will also be available for the award-winning HTC P3300, plus some of the operator-branded devices. The upgrades will be rolled out from June, in line with the operator partners' strategies. You'll be able to find the latest HTC-related releases as they're made available at:

Weird... Indeed - the link is broken and I get a 404 as well. Looks like HTC pulled the PDF from the server.

Hi all, some of you have already seen my petition asking HTC to release WM6 for the P3600 (Trinity) / Orange SPV M700. … index.html

So far I have wrote to HTC twice and have been ignored twice. I am looking to make a stronger point towards HTC by getting 1000 signatures then hopefully they will take some notice. My plan is also to send this result to orange once we have 1000 signatures. Hopefully Orange will be able to put some pressure on HTC as well.

If anyone think there are other ways to get them notice, please by all means do it. or leave a comment for others to take the initiative.

Also, if you think I should send the petition result to any other network / provider, please leave a comment.
