SURPRISE: T-Mobile Germany will offer the old MDA as Windows Mobile 2003

This makes me a little bit wonder at all. T-Mobile Germany has announced its old T-Mobile MDA (released with Pocket PC Phone Edition 2002 one year ago and the same device as the O2 xda) in a Windows Mobile 2003 version now.

According to T-Mobile's online shop it's not available yet but soon:

Either this is a mistake and T-Mobile means the MDA II (even if the specifications looks like the MDA) or T-Mobile is really going to sell an upgraded version. If so I wonder what T-Mobile plans with existing MDAs. If they are selling an updated MDA version a Windows Mobile ROM for MDAs is available and I really hope they are also going to sell this ROM to current customers as well!

Now it's interesting to see what others like O2, T-Mobile USA, AT&T and Siemens will do!

Cheers ~ Arne

From whom? Me or T-Mobile... :? I'm not kidding and I hope T-Mobile isn't kidding as well but will also offer an upgrade for current customers...

Ah - I see... The T-Mobile page can't be found anymore... 8O

Seems someone in Bonn made a mistake and published something which shouldn't be published now or published something which never will be published... :-)

Well, the screenshot above isn't a fake but real and I made it this morning...

and we really shall believe that? As you surely know a lie has no feet...;-)

No kidding! It was there!

Also I thought it's "lies soon catch up with one" which is in German "lies have short legs" I thought.

But honestly - I saw it this morning and captured the screenshot. No clue if it was a mistake and shouldn't be announced now or maybe just a dummy page for the MDA II. But I saw it with my own eyes...

Also we are half on the way to/from April fools so I'm not fooling you (today).

Okay - here we go again! :-D Got an anonymous message including an interesting link to the German T-Mobile site:

Just for your info:

T-Mobile started selling the MDA II and MDA I with PPC2003 for their business customers only.

And they are ready to ship, I've called them (our company has a business contract with T-Mobile).

Read on that page:

T-Mobile MDA mit PPC 2003: 199,95 €

T-Mobile MDA II: 499,95 €
