While for Microsoft Windows PCs, the Zune client is the synchronization utility of choice to get photos, music and videos synchronized between a PC and a Windows Phone 7 smartphone (and it's the only choice since Microsoft killed ActiveSync and Windows Mobile Device Center with the launch of Windows Phone 7), Apple Mac users were out of luck so far because Zune is yet not available for the Mac OS. However, since iTunes might be the preferred multimedia app anyway, Microsoft has just released Windows Phone 7 Connector Beta for Apple Mac OS which allows to synchronize music, videos, photos and podcasts from iTunes and iPhoto to Windows Phone 7.

Windows Phone 7 Connector Beta supports Apple Mac OS X, Mac OS X v. 10.5 Leopard and above and is now available as a free download from Microsoft.
