ActiveSync works pretty good on Windows Mobile devices, however synchronizing different folders on your PC or Pocket PC and even hard with your storage card is something ActiveSync doesn't supports - unfortunately.
However, Rubber Stamped Data recently released version 2.1 of its "Data Sync" which allows you to sync files and directories (including subdirectories) to and from any location on your mobile device, storage card or PC.
It doesn't install any software on the mobile device, instead it runs completely from the PC. The program features a system tray icon and the ability to "auto sync" every time you connect your device. In addition, it also has the ability to sync on a schedule and to download and sync individual files from the web.
There are endless uses for this product such as synchronizing text files, music files, pictures, and any other type of file you can possibly think of! Supports up to 6 directories for simultaneous synchronization. This is the all in one sync solution you have been waiting for!
Version 2.1 now supports scheduled synchronization and the download and synchronization of individual files from the web. This update also includes an option that gives you the ability to disable specified sets of directories and yet maintain their paths when synchronizing additional directories. In addition, this version also includes numerous GUI updates to make for a more efficient synchronization process for the user.
Data Sync is available from PocketGear.com (affiliate) for US$ 11.95 only and also includes a 30 day trial version.
Please keep in mind that Data Sync requires the Microsoft .Net Framework which can be downloaded for free from Microsoft.
