If you want to call your contacts - you have stored on the Pocket PC Phone Edition Speed Dial menu - here it is how you can do it faster.
Phone Edition allows you to store, beside the Voicemail number, up to 9 names to be directly accessed and called through the phone application. This means that you don’t have to use "Contacts" to call your top 9 contacts but can store it within the application in addition. This gives you a faster access to your most used phone numbers. However, there is a way beside the "Speed Dial" menu to access this numbers faster:

Preparation

  • Open the "Phone" application on your Phone Edition by pressing the green Talk button (Any device like o2 xda, T-Mobile Phone Edition or HP WDA).
  • Open "Speed Dial" and add your contacts to the 9 positions of the Speed Dial menu
  • Remember the position where you’ve stored which contact name

Usage

  • Tap and hold "1" for more than two seconds to call your Voicemail or any other button between "2" to "0" to call the appropriate contact

That’s it; you never have to switch to "Speed Dial" again if you know/remember where you’ve placed your contacts.

Cheers ~ Arne
