I just want to let you know, that I might be limited or maybe not with updating PPCW.Net because I'm currently packing my backs to go to Paris.
I'm always afraid that I forget something (technology wise, not clothes wise), something I need in a situation and which is at home. However, from year to year traveling is lighter, thanks to smaller Notebooks (or better Subnotebooks), (Wireless) Pocket PC (phone Edition) and Smartphones. :-D
So right now I'm packing to fly to Paris or better to Disneyland Paris. This is the location where Microsoft is holding this year's the European Mobility Developer Conference which is - from my point of view - one of the most important developing conferences for 3rd party developers. Like last year, I'm still not a developer but will hang around the exhibition. It's always a great place to have one to one discussions with some of the industry leaders and not so overcrowded like CeBIT or 3GSM Congress, everything is more relaxed, you have more time for better talks and even there, there is always something new to see - and to write about... ;-)
Later next week, Disneyland Paris is also the place where Microsoft is holding the Möbius invitation conference which is a place where geeks from all over the world come together for a not less relaxed discussion about gadgets, gadgets and gadgets! :-) The charm of Möbius is that folks (mostly web site owners/editors) from different platforms come together like Windows CE geeks, Palm geeks and Symbian geeks and can use this place to discuss about strengths and weaknesses of the platform they are "representing". This is always fun and it's the 3rd Möbius conference I'm participating in.
As Microsoft is the host, we will get updates about Pocket PCs and Smartphones from them for sure too but as it isn't an NDA event we will not get more details, we haven't already heard before at MDC or even the MVP summit last month. But it's a great place for sharing views and ideas and by meeting folks which uses different platforms, I'm always leaning a lot anyway.
Because of all these events, I'm not sure how often I can update PPCW.Net but I'm sure Carlo takes care about it anyway!
Cheers ~ Arne
