TouchWiz widget technology.
The Samsung Mobile Innovator Widget portal will allow developers to author
widgets which are optimized to run on Samsung's advanced TouchWiz UI (which is
also used on the Samsung Omnia II but not yet used on the
Samsung Galaxy). As

Unlike complex native languages, widget development utilizes the comparably

If you are a developer, you can download Samsung Mobile Widget SDK, a
development environment, which is based on the Eclipse platform, and is designed
to help you develop widgets for Samsung mobile devices running the Samsung
TouchWiz UI interface. Furthermore, the Widget Test Page will provide a well
documented online interface to upload and download widgets. A developer might
publish his/her widgets (making them available to the public with or without
Samsung hasn't yet announced how self-developed Widgets will be distributed
but most likely they will be distributed through the TouchWiz interface on the
mobile phone which already allows to download additional Widgets from Samsung.
