Early last year, Amazon followed the trend and introduced its very own Amazon Appstore for Android, which is also the one and only available app store for Amazon's own Android tablet, the Kindle Fire. However, the Appstore had one draw-back - so far it's only available in the U.S. Nevertheless, it seems Amazon is finally expanding its reach and seems to include France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the UK anytime soon. In a message to its developers, Amazon reached out and notified them that "apps will be made available for distribution in the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, and Spain later this summer, with plans for further global expansion in the future".
As a matter of fact, Amazon's own posting finally confirmed the former rumors, that Amazon would finally launch its Appstore, to rival with the Google Play Market, in Europe. Furthermore, if the Appstore is really hitting Europe anytime later this summer, it also opens the possibility to finally offer the Kindle Fire, a decently priced Android tablet which nevertheless received positive reviews in the U.S.
