While Microsoft is currently shipping its Samsung, LG and Asus Windows Phone 7 developer devices, non of the three manufactures (nor HTC) have unveiled or announced a commercial Windows Phone 7 smartphone yet. However, bellow we might see the first commercial Windows Phone 7 smartphone from Asus which somehow made its way to Pakistan. There's a good chance that this is indeed a pre-production device because on the top - right above the speaker - it features a serial number which is often used by manufactures to tag prototypes (just in case the device hits the Web to track down the owner, which - well - it did apparently).
Since the photo was just twittered, no further information were given except: http://tweetphoto.com/37157728 First person in #Pakistan to see a #WP7 yeayyyyyy.
UPDATE: In a later tweet, the publisher of the photo unveiled that the device was from her brother which could mean that the owner of the device is either working for Asus or at Microsoft? Nevertheless, in the meantime the photo was removed from TweetPhoto and the Twitter account was renamed and is now protected. All this can be taken as a proof that the device might be indeed Asus' first Windows Phone 7 smartphone.
