Today, AT&T announced to launch the Dell Aero, Dell's first Android smartphone. While neither AT&T not Dell have unveiled any further information, the Aero will be Dell's first Android smartphone available in the U.S., and will feature - according to AT&T's press release - a new, beautiful custom user interface developed by Dell and AT&T. While the supported bands are wrong, Dell's Aero might be the Dell M01M001, the GCF recently approved. If it's the North American sister-model, it can be expected that the Dell Aero will also features quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE as well as dualband UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA (but not at 900/2100 MHz as the M01M001 does).
In addition to an upcoming website, which is mentioned in AT&T's press release but not yet reachable, AT&T has also announced the Dell Aero at its Facebook fan site.
Cheers ~ Arne
