At yesterday's Web 2.0 Summit, Eric Schmidt, CEO of Google, showed a yet unannounced Android smartphone from a yet unannounced manufacture which seems to be the rumored Samsung Nexus S, Google's next smartphone following its very own Nexus One. Furthermore he talked about Gingebread aka Android 2.3, Google's next Android version which comes out - according to Schmidt - "in the next few weeks". According to different sources, the Samsung Nexus S/ Samsung GT-I9020 is featuring 2G and 3G bands, WiFi b/g/n, Bluetooth as well as a 5 megapixel camera. Furthermore it seems to be confirmed by Schmidt, that the Nexus S will feature NFC (Near Field Communication).
