The iPAQ 914, HP's first device of the iPAQ 900 series, is quite similar to the iPAQ 614 but slightly different. It also features quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE as well as
triband HSDPA up to 3.6 Mbps, WiFi b/g/e, Bluetooth 2.0 (+EDR isn't confirmed
yet) and AGPS. And it also works with a dual-chip solution, sporting a Marvell
PXA270 CPU at 520 MHz and a Qualcomm MSM6280 radio chip as well as it features128 MB RAM and 256 MB ROM which can be extended with microSD memory cards. However, the iPAQ 914 features a smaller 2.4" QVGA touch screen only but the auto focus camera on the back supports 3 megapixel as well. As with the iPAQ 614, there is no front facing camera for UMTS video telephony.
The iPAQ 914 features a QWERTY keyboard with LED backlit keys as well as
extra buttons for power, camera, voice command, volume, and a classic 5-way
D-Pad plus an extra scroll wheel on the side. With expected 145 g, the iPAQ 914
is as heavy as the iPAQ 614 and with 113 x 64 x 16 mm it's a little bit shorter
The HP iPAQ 914 can be expected for November and it's estimated retail price
is rumored at US$ 800.
