UNVEILED: HTC Incredible Android Smartphone shows its Face on Photos and Video
Posted by Arne Hess - on Monday, 08.02.10 - 10:15:46 CET under 04 - Android News - Viewed 7316x
Tagged under: [] [] [] [] just received a couple of information and photos as well as a video of HTC's upcoming and yet to be announced HTC Incredible which seems to go on sale on Verizon Wireless. Looking like the twin of the HTC HD2, the HTC Incredible is powered by Android 2.1, featuring HTC Sense and the tipster confirms, that the Incredible is running a Snapdragon CPU (which is described as "fast, really fast"). The device comes with a 3.5" or 3.7" WVGA (most likely AMOLED) touchscreen, 256 MB of RAM and features an optical mouse pointer towards the HD2-like function keys. While no info given on the camera on the back, the device features dual LED flashes.

No word yet when the HTC Incredible might be launched. At this point it's also unknown if there's also a GSM version planned. However, we might hear more from HTC at next weeks' Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

Cheers ~ Arne

It's pretty much what everyone expected when the HD2 was launched. I guess HTC already counts itself rich based upon the number of people asking for the Android powered version of the htc hd2. Incredible would fit within the Android series (Hero, Incredible). Nevertheless I don't think one would need an android version as the Windows version (hd2) does a very good job.

As far as I know (regardings the specs and accounting logic), the Incredible is just the Verizon version of the HTC Bravo (=Nexus One plus Sense), which is more or less the Android version of the HD2...
btw: anyone got some reliable news concerning the HTC Bravo's release date in Europe? I'm really looking forward to get it asap...

@Eugen: Well, doesn't matter how good the HD2 is, I think users who prefer Android over Windows Mobile want an Android-powered HD2, therefore it makes sense for HTC to release a similar looking device.
@Kurt: IMHO we should hear more about the HTC Bravo next week during the Mobile World Congress. HTC is holding a press conference and needs to announce something GSM related (for Europe).
