blog recently received a set of photos, screenshots and specs of HTC's upcoming
mid-range Windows Mobile Professional smartphone, the HTC Mega. According to
these info, the HTC Mega will be powered by a Qualcomm MSM7225 CPU at 528 MHz
and run on Windows Mobile 6.5 Professional and is said to support quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE
as well as dualband UMTS/HSDPA at 900 and 2100 MHz. Furthermore it's indicated
that the Mega will feature Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, WiFi b/g and aGPS. Since the Mega
seems to be an entry-level Windows Mobile smartphone, the device is said to
feature a 2.8" QVGA screen only as well as the camera is said to be 3.2
megapixel fixfocus only.
The device comes with an internal memory of 256 MB ROM and 256 MB RAM, which
can be expanded by microSD cards. Furthermore, the device represents the latest
generation of HTC smartphones which mean it finally comes with a 3.5 mm stereo
According to the design and specs, it seems that the HTC Mega will be the
follower of the 2009th
introduced back in January.
