While the HTC Shift, HTC's new and to be released UMPC (Ultra Mobile PC) running Windows Vista and a Windows Mobile subset, was originally announced for late last year, the launch was shifted later to 2008. Nevertheless, it looks like at least one mobile operator will carry it and made it public now: Orange UK. Matt from Tracy and Matt's Blog just received Orange's pricebook for February and he as surprised to find that the HTC Shift listed there as a coming soon device. According to these information, Orange will release it some time in March:

Orange will offering the device as a complete package with SIM, contract and full support and according to the latest information, the HTC Shift will hit Orange at around £900.

Cheers ~ Arne

I've canceled my preorder and gave up. Don't think HTC will ever release it, it looks like a hoax! 100s of press releases but availability is 0. Very annoying! sad
What is your preorder doing?

Still on preorder... Nothing delivered yet... I had the hope I can use it during the Mobile World Congress when I ordered it back in October... sad
