Not shown at the recent CES in Las Vegas, Huawei Germany just unveiled the Huawei Ascend G 615, a high-end spec'd Android smartphone with an unbeatable price. The Ascend G 615, which comes initially with Android 4.0 only but which will soon after launch is said to receive the Jelly Bean update, is powered by a Huawei 1.4 GHz K3V2 quad-core CPU with 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB ROM. It has a 4.5" TFT-IPS 720p touchscreen (1280x720 pixels) with 330 PPI and sports two built-in speakers with Dolby Digital Plus technology. Crisp images are said to be taken with the 8 megapixel main camera with dual-LED flash. The 2,150 mAh battery, coupled with the Huawei's own Battery Saving Technology, consumes up to 30 % less energy and is said to ensure a long service life of 360 hours standby and about 11 hours of talk time.
Other features such as Bluetooth 3.0, DLNA, WiFi Direct, GPS/AGPS, and a card slot for expanding the memory up to 32 GB via microSD complete the comprehensive package.
Available in black and white at 299 Euro, it's expected to go on sale early February. In the beginning the Ascend G 615 will be available exclusively from Amazon.de, Conrad.de and cyberport before it hits retail in March.
Cheers ~ Arne
