UNVEILED: Leaked Firmware shows T-Mobile US HTC HD2 Support and Updated HTC Sense

A recently leaked HTC HD2 ROM unveiled that it is designed for T-Mobile US which seems to proof that the HTC HD2 is indeed coming to the USA, as HTC confirmed earlier. At least the boot screen shows T-Mobiles "stick together" claim which isn't used by T-Mobile in Europe but in the US only. Furthermore the ROM is also featuring an updated HTC Sense UI which now sports a new "Documents" tab as well as an updated "Music" player tab. The Documents tab seems to have direct access to Windows Mobile's "My Documents" folder and previews Microsoft Office as well as PDF files and opens a selected document with the appropriate application. Also improved is the music library page which now shows songs by artist, straight from the artist page as well as songs, straight from the album page.

While the new 2.01 HTC HD2 ROM is here previewed in a T-Mobile US-version, it's most likely that these enhancements will also be available for HD2 stock ROMs. It's yet unknown when HTC will release this ROM update to the public.

If you think about it is pretty strange that such a great phone like the HTC HD2 is only been released for the US market now! It has all the characteristics to become a winner in the USA. It has windows mobile installed which is still widely used in the US and the htc hd2 performs great. Let's hope the rom will be available shortly here in Europe.
