At yesterday's Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference keynote, Microsoft showed the first results of its new Windows Phone 7 partners. While it's not new that Microsoft got Acer, Fujitsu and ZTE on-board, this was already announced back in May, we haven't seen Mango-powered Windows Phones from the so far. However, yesterday Microsoft gave a first sneak-peak or Acer's, Fujitsu's and ZTE's work and while the Acer and ZTE phones looked pretty much like a Windows Phone, the Fujitsu device was mentioned to be waterproof. However, the biggest surprise was an upcoming Windows Phone from Samsung - who is one of the initial Windows Phone 7 launch partners.

Rumored to be the Samsung SGH-I937, this phone looks pretty much like the Galaxy S II (Samsung's flagship Android smartphone). It was mentioned that it is very thin and light (like the Galaxy S II) and from the video it seems as if the phone is featuring a front-facing camera. While support for front facing cameras is not yet official announced, it's expected that Windows Phone Mango will supports front facing cameras, which makes even more sense after Microsoft purchased Skype - the number one for video telephony.

Interesting enough, HTC was neither mentioned nor on stage, even if it's expected that the premium-manufacturer is also working on - at least - one Windows Phone 7.1 device which is expected to be code-named "Eternity".
