Do you remember last week's rumor of the upcoming Sony Ericsson Xperia X2 Windows Mobile smartphone? While Engadget Mobile only received a photo, no further information became available about the specs. Now, a user at the Mobile-Review.com Forums unveiled more information. According to these information, the Xperia X2 will feature a 8.1 megapixel autofocus camera which allows VGA videos up to 30 fps (MP4 HQ), sports a 3.5" WVGA (800x480) OLED touchscreen as well as feature GPS/aGPS and an accelerometer, a faster processor and sports 512 MB or RAM.

Furthermore it's said that the Sony Ericsson engineers customized Windows Mobile 6.5 which lets it run very, very speedy - in par with iPhone and even better in some cases. Furthermore the Xperia Panels are modified with plenty of innovative features, e.g. PS3 remote play being one of them.

Last but not least it's said that the Xperia X2 supports an upgrade to Windows Mobile 7 (even if Windows Mobile 7 is expected for next year and hopefully the Xperia X2 will hit the streets sooner).

Cheers ~ Arne
