Mobile01 seems to have a set of first live photos of Motorola's so called and code-named "Sholes Tablet", an Android smartphone following the Motorola's first Android smartphone (the Motorola Cliq/Dext) and the first available Android 2.0 smartphone (the Motorola Droid/Milestone). According to Mobile Android China, the Sholes Tablet is expected to feature UMTS/HSPA and running a TI OMAP 3430 at 550 MHz. Other expectable features are a 3.7" WVGA (800 x 480) touchscreen as well as a HDMI port, 3.5 mm stereo headset jack and a 8 megapixel autofocus camera with Xenon flash.

While the current prototype seems to run Android 2.0/Eclair, it's most likely that the Sholes Tablet will be released with Android 2.1 at time of launch.

It's yet unknown when or where Motorola's "Sholes Tablet" will be launched but if it's featuring UMTS/HSPA chances are good that it might be launched on both sides of the Atlantic.

Cheers ~ Arne
