UNVEILED: Palm's Treo 750v available for preorder from Vodafone UK

All right, looks like we are coming closer to the Palm Treo 750v launch, Palms first UMTS Treo device which Vodafone plans to sell across Europe.
While neither Palm nor Vodafone has revealed too much information yet, except that there is an announcement planned for September 12, the Palm Treo 750v appeared now at Vodafone UK's business customer web shop.

The new Palm Treo smartphone is an industry first, using Vodafone's high-speed 3G network and delivering Palm's ease of use on top of the Microsoft Window's Mobile operating system – all backed up by Vodafone's dedicated service for business.

And Vodafone was even kind enough to provide a retail price with subscription which is £127.66 - not bad at all.

Feature-wise, Vodafone has highlighted Windows Mobile 5.20, the 1.3 megapixel digital camera, the full QWERTY keyboard and secure Push E-Mail while I wonder what Windows Mobile 5.2 is? So far I was aware of Windows Mobile 5.0 only but maybe it means Windows Mobile 5 + AKU 2 = Windows Mobile 5.2?
Indeed, I've received the word from Microsoft, that the Palm Treo 750v isn't powered by Windows Mobile 5.2 but is using the well known Windows Mobile 5.0 instead. Looks like somebody at Vodafone was too excited to launch a Windows Mobile device with AKU 2.

Still no updated photo except the previous leaks, so it looks like we have to wait until September 12 to get a final image, how Palm's first UMTS Treo will really look like.

Cheers ~ Arne
