Dutch
Mobile Phone Helpdesk got new information and a photo of the yet to be announced
HTC Raphael which Mobile Phone Helpdesk shows in the T-Mobile design. According
to the information, T-Mobile will launch the Raphael later this year in Europe
as "T-Mobile MDA Vario IV". Feature-wise, the HTC Raphael - which is expected to
be announced by HTC as the "HTC Touch Pro" - is quite similar to HTC's Touch
Diamond except that it features a slide-out QWERTY keyboard which makes it the
follower of the HTC TyTN II. Other features includes Windows Mobile 6.1
Professional, triband GSM/GPRS/EDGE at 900/1800/1900 MHz, UMTS/HSDPA (and most
likely HSUPA), Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, WiFi b/g, GPS and an FM radio:

Like the HTC Touch Diamond, the HTC Raphael is also expected to feature a VGA
touchscreen with TouchFLO 3D, a 3.2 megapixel autofocus camera and, according to
Mobile Phone Helpdesk, the Raphael includes 256 MB RAM and 512 MB ROM which can
be expanded with microSD memory cards.
At a size of 103 x 52 x 18 mm, the Raphael is said to weight 158 g which is
exactly the same weight as Sony Ericsson's Xperia X1 which is also manufactured
by HTC.
UPDATE: It's not a rumor anymore. Like with the
MDA compact IV
which T-Mobile
previewed during the last CeBIT already, T-Mobile again showed HTC's latest
smartphone before HTC announced it and it seems, T-Mobile Germany officially
announced the MDA Vario IV aka the HTC Raphael during
a
press event today.
