UNVEILED: T-Mobile's new MDA compact II appeared in the company's press area [UPDATE]

"little" has posted a comment over at digital lifestyle mobile (you know, the German blog I'm working for too) that the official photos of the T-Mobile MDA compact II recently appeared on T-Mobiles press page and here we go: it's anthracite (like the German O2 Xda mini but it looks a little bit darker anyway) and - this makes me wonder - it has still the same buttons (calendar and contacts) as the old MDA compact, not the changed button-set (Start and ok) as I wrote about before.

However, even after the MDA compact II finally appeared on T-Mobiles web site, so far T-Mobile hasn't made the press release public so we don't know anything about the planned release date or price and also the features are not officially public yet. Does it has W-LAN or not, Windows Mobile 5.0 or not? Hope we will get the answer soon.

UPDATE: T-Mobile confirmed a planned availability for November (you are right guys, that's during this month) but still denies to provide more information about price or a list of features others then the compact II will definitely use Windows Mobile 5.0.

Cheers ~ Arne

The November release date is for Germany, as well as the planned November release date for the Vario. No release dates given for later launchs outside Germany which I expect to be around one month after (just my guess, no confirmation for this).

I bet it's just the 128Mb RAM version of the HTC Magician. The photo of it on MSMobiles with the Ok and Windows button, still showed it running Windows Mobile 2003SE (denoted by the "new" button onscreen)...  Windows Mobile 2003SE still can use the start menu and ok functions as hardware buttons, so that doesn't mean it would need to have Windows Mobile 5 installed.
