absolutely no confirmation that this might be another Windows Mobile smartphone
from Toshiba but
chances are really good that Toshiba's latest hero Windows Phone, the
TG01, might not be the
last one. According to the GCF, Toshiba recently received approvals for two
mobile phones: the already known "TG01" and one phone the GCF calls "To Be
Advised". As a matter of fact Toshiba's intention must be not to unveil too much
information yet, otherwise the company would have given the name to the GCF.
However, a deeper look into the phone specs of the yet unnamed phone and a
comparison with the TG01 shows that both phones are sporting the same wireless
Both phones are quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE as well as singleband WCDMA at 2100
MHz with enhanced support of HSDPA and HSUPA. Furthermore both devices are
claimed to support (web) browsing.
While the TG01 has the GCF number 1706, the yet unknown device seems to be even
newer by having number 1715.
As I said earlier, there is absolutely no proof yet that the yet unknown mobile
phone is a
Windows Mobile phone but it would makes sense if the TG01, with all of its
innovations, wouldn't be Toshiba's only
for the next time. On the other hand it also could be a Google
(since Toshiba is also a member of the
Handset Alliance) and might share the TG01's features but running Android
instead of Windows Mobile?
