UPDATE: DAT Group with a new version of SMS Tools

When I was on MDC last week, I also met the folks from DAT Group who developed SMS Tools (see my review here) and they gave me a new, updated version of SMS Tools.

This new version contains another great feature which isn't part of the Smartphone today: sending SMS messages in a simple and convenient way again, if it failed to send the SMS message by the first try.

So by opening SMS Tools you get a new menu item which is called "Send Failed SMS" and which lists all send SMS messages. In the next screen you simply select which message needs to be send again and it will be send to the same recipient again.

Unfortunately you can not edit the message before you send it nor you can change the recipients phone number but this helps to send a message again if you was out of coverage without editing it again.

Right now, the new version of SMS Tools isn't available for public download and it's not clear if or when it is released. So I recommend to watch out DAT Groups Smartphone Club site from time to time anyhow. From there, you can also download the first version of SMS Tools for free which allows you to erase your sent and received SMS with just three clicks!

Cheers ~ Arne

I can't download the SMS tools from the Smartphone Club website.  When I click on the address http://.../

to download configuration, the site is blank.

Please help.
