Some time ago I wrote about Mike Buch's fit4cat Hermes Tweaker which lets you tweak the registry of the HTC Hermes in an easy and GUI-based way.Basically, the Hermes Tewaker was a compilation of known registry hacks as you can find it over at Xda-developers.com but it doesn't forces you to use a Registry editor on your Windows Mobile Pocket PC but this handy application does all the tweaks for you.
Now, the Hermes Tweaker was released in a new version and since it now supports even more HTC devices, it was also renamed to "HTweakC 2.0":

In addition to the previously enabled features and tweaks, version 2.0 offers:

  • Windows Mobile 5 compliant menu structure and look & feel
  • Support for HTC Wizard
  • Multilanguage support through editable LNG files (by default, HTweakC 2.0 supports German and English)
  • Save and load your settings
  • Write only changed settings into the Registry
  • Overview about changes in a new "Apply Window"
  • Change GRPS disconnect button and timer view
  • Enable GPRS auto-attach
  • Enable DTMF
  • Disable beeps when changing in-call volume
  • Change of Bluetooth identification
  • Enable Bluetooth auto suspend in standby mode
  • Disable menu animation
  • Disable window animation
  • Show animated charge bar
  • Increase battery life with power management activation

As before, also this version is free of charge but requires portal registration to being downloaded.

Cheers ~ Arne
