Google's
Google Maps
Mobile has long allowed to add stars on a map to mark favorite places and a
few months ago, Google has introduced the ability to star places for Google Maps
for desktop browsers as well. However, so for there was no way to keep these
starred places in sync. But, with yesterday's release of Google Maps Mobile 3.3
for Windows Mobile and Symbian phones, it's now possible to keep the
starred/favorite places completely synchronized between smartphones and
computers. Basically it allows to plan a trip or route at home and having all
the favorite spots by hand during the journey. However, it also works the other
way around, marking a spot during a journey to get it available back on the PC.

Google Maps for mobile 3.3 is now available free of charge for Windows Mobile
Windows phones and Symbian smartphones by visiting m.google.com/maps from a
mobile device's browser.
