UPDATE: HTC updates HTC Hub - Brings Weather Live Tiles to Windows Phone 7

When Windows Phone 7 was launched, it was no surprise that HTC added a couple of app-goodies to its range of Windows Phone 7 devices and the center of all HTC apps is an application called HTC Hub. However, HTC hasn't put too much work into the HTC Hub front-end and the joy came when it was opened, showing customers the weather for the current and predefined location. Now HTC has released an HTC Hub update which brings the joy of weather live tiles to the Windows Phone 7 Start screen. The new HTC live tile shows the weather for either the current or a predefined location as well as it gives a weather outlook and shows (useless) thumbnails for some featured applications.

Yet not featured are animations in the live tile as well as we are still waiting for even more useful live tile updates from HTC - let's say a HTC Stocks live tile would also make a lot of sense.

But anyway, it's finally a start and HTC is bringing some HTC Sense love to Windows Phone 7 as well - at least as much as possible and allowed by Microsoft. The updated HTC Hub is now available from HTC's Marketplace category.

Cheers ~ Arne
