Following the update of Facebook Mobile for Windows Mobile from February, Microsoft has finally released another update which hopefully fixes the nasty refresh-bug, Facebook Mobile is seeing for some months now. While there's no change-log, the version number shows 1.4 and it was released on 24. November. A couple of user comments on Microsoft's Windows Marketplace for Mobile say that it's updating now while others seem to still have the refresh problem. Nevertheless, if it works (again), Facebook for Windows Mobile allows users to update Facebook status and upload photos and videos, send and receive messages to/from friends and managing the profile.
Interesting enough, it seems that the new v1.4 was yet not rolled-out for all localizations! While the US-English Marketplace (left screenshot above) shows it already, the US-Spanish (right screenshot above) one (as well as others) is still listing the older v1.2 from February with the confirmed and known refresh bug.
Please remember, this Facebook Mobile version is for Windows Mobile 6.x Windows Phones only, not for Windows Phone 7, and should be available now from the Microsoft Marketplace.
UPDATE: Localized versions, mostly v1.3, are also available now which seems to be the same as the U.S. English v1.4 released first. Furthermore, friends of the::unwired have reported that both versions, v1.3 and v.14, seems to fix the update bug and therefore Facebook seems to work again on Windows Mobile 6.x phones.
Cheers ~ Arne
