Paul over at MoDaCo announced that Orange has recently released a ROM update for their SPV C500/HTC Typhoon. Seems he was beta testing is already and he confirms to be a stable update.

You can improve the performance of your SPV C500 by downloading the new ROM update. This will give you the following benefits: Videos can be sent via MMS, flickering issue in games has now been fixed, packet video full screen mode and backlight fix, improved memory management of the camera and video applications, improved browsing/upload speed (changed from GPRS class 8 to class 10).

But no Windows Media 10 Mobile update? Bad luck (this time), even if HTC already implemented the AKU2 (which includes the Windows Mobile 10 Mobile player) into a comparable Smartphone (Audiovox SMT5600).

Cheers ~ Arne

Will this update SIM lock an unlocked phone to the Orange Network?
