During a recent Palm earnings call last week, Palm CEO Jon Rubinstein unveiled that the expected webOS 1.3.5 version is coming soon to the Palm Pre and Palm Pixi. While he denied to give us the full spot of 1.3.5 news, he confirmed that the new version will let customers download and store more applications by removing the current limitation of available memory for applications. Furthermore it was noted that 1.3.5 will feature enhanced WiFi and application performance and - much appreciated - improve battery life while at the same time it's expected to increase Pixi's speed and responsiveness. Furthermore it's expected that the new firmware will fix the nasty SMS Unicode bug.
A release date wasn't given yet but it's expected that Palm will make the new firmware available anytime early January 2010, most likely during the CES which happens from January 7 - 10, 2010.
