UPDATE: Spam protection implemented and working well

You might remember my previous posting about spam in the PPCW.Net comments which continued during the last days and even increased. Therefore yesterday I had to remove around 80 comments, full of crap! 8O
As you guys said in the comments before, I shouldn't give up nor I should make the comments a closed system but hey, how worthy would PPCW.Net and the comments section become if it is flooded with 5 - 10 spam comments per article? Would you continues to enjoy PPCW.Net with all the dumb links, not to mention that these kind of links would give these idiots better Google ranking, etc?

Well, it was a pain - until this morning when I had a chat with Calin, CEO of mobile solutions and the good spirit of PPCW.Net as well as PPCW.Net's main developer. He made some great suggestions how to quickly fix it and he implemented it in a convenient way - convenient for the user = you, not the spam-bots! :P
So you shouldn't see any changes if you are commenting an article or replying to another comment but spam bots should be locked-out from now, to access the comments section! :-)
For sure I'm not going to explain the way how Calin implemented it but for the past hours or so, I haven't seen another spam on PPCW.Net so it seems to work! If, however, these spammers find a way anyway - Calin already has some other options in his mind to lock them out again! Woohoo... Well done Calin! Thanks a lot!

From now - PPCW.Net is a Spam Free zone again! :-)

Cheers ~ Arne
