UPDATE: T-Mobile Germany released ROM updates for the SDA and SDA Music Smartphones

If you are a German reader and using the T-Mobile SDA or SDA Music (you know, the black business version, and the white music version), you might be interested to know that T-Mobile recently released a ROM update for both.
As with other Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition Smartphone updates, also this update isn't a Windows Mobile 5.0 upgrade but a regular update which includes Microsoft's AKU 2.6 for 2003 Second Edition and therefore includes the long-awaited Windows Mobile Player 10 Mobile (which lets you play DRM protected WMA files):

However, for some reason it seems T-Mobile removed the MSN Messenger shortcut (it's not in the start list anymore) but thankfully MSN Messenger is still in the /windows/ folder so you have to manually create a shortcut in your start menu (wonder why T-Mobile doesn't like MSN Messenger).

Not sure about the other enhancements since I haven't tested it myself yet because I don't have my SDA with me.

Anyway, get the SDA and SDA Music ROM updates for free from T-Mobile Germany and let us know how it works for you/what's the other enhancements are Please note, this ROM update isn't designed for the SDA II!

Cheers ~ Arne
