Two Peaks has recently announced the release of their updated version of their vCard beaming software called BizBeam. The update not only includes fresh looking icons, but also includes some fixes and support for Windows Mobile 2003 devices as well.

BizBeam, now on version 2.0 allows Pocket PC users to quickly beam their vCards or a specified file with a single tap on the Today Screen. Bizbeam can memorize two business cards and a specific file for easy beaming. If screen screen real estate is an issue, smaller icons can be used or a hardware button can also be assigned to bring up the full screen interface which also has the same large icons that does away with using a stylus. Either way it takes no more than two button presses/taps to send out a business card.

Here is what's new and improved in BizBeam v2.0:

  • New! You can now choose to show small icons on the Today screen, thus allowing you to save valuable screen space for other plugins
  • New! Colorful icons for a modern looking user-interface
  • New! The file beaming button displays the icon of the document you have chosen to beam. For example, in the screenshot on the right, the icon represents an Excel document.
  • Fixed: Now fully compatible with Pocket PC 2003 devices (fixed the file beaming issue)
  • Fixed: Several minor enhancements and bug fixes

BizBeam v2.0 is available for US 4.95 and a 5-day trial version can be donwloaded from Two Peaks. Previous owners of the product are entitled to a free upgrade.
