After HTC released a couple of Windows Mobile 6.1 ROM upgrades for its carrier partners, HTC now also released the long awaited 6.1 ROM upgrade for its own HTC Touch Cruise, but also for the HTC Touch Dual (a Windows Mobile 6.1 ROM upgrade I haven't expect anymore).
Beside the typical Windows Mobile 6.1 enhancements and fixes like threaded SMS, recipient auto-complete, Direct Push improvements enhanced Internet Explorer Mobile browsing, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connection setup simplification and improved stability of Video call functionality, this ROM upgrade will also fix Touch Cruise typical problems incl. fixes for Bluetooth headsets, default onscreen keyboard, camera viewfinder, GPS functionalities and more.

The ROM upgrades are available in different languages from HTC's support site. A registration isn't required anymore but the serial number is required for download. The HTC Touch Dual ROM upgrade works with both device versions, the SureType-like keyboard and the phone-styled keypad.

Cheers ~ Arne
