HTC just released the first Windows Mobile 6.1 upgrade which is the expected Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional upgrade for the HTC TyTN II (aka HTC Kaiser). Windows Mobile 6.1 is the latest upgrade for Windows Mobile and it gives you improved usability, messaging and connections features. Windows Mobile 6.1 comes with a host of new and enhanced features including threaded SMS, recipient auto-complete, Direct Push improvements, and enhanced Internet Explorer Mobile, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connection setup simplification, etc and more (incl. support for Microsoft's System Center Mobile Device Manager).

And, whatever it means, HTC said that this upgrade also includes a software update to address certain customer concerns, improving overall display performance and device responsiveness.

The download is now available for free from HTC's e-Club but registration is needed. Please note that this ROM upgrade is for original HTC devices only, carrier versions of the HTC Kaiser are not supported.

Cheers ~ Arne

Anne, I can't find it there. Have they removed it?

AFAIK it's currently only available to European eClub users. Not sure where you are from

I'm logged in at the European site and go to My Downloads > Phone Software Updates, but nothing appears. I've also had a look under Other Downloads...

I'm using Firefox, but I don't think that would be the problem!

I want my update!!!

I also cannot find the update. I am from Middle East. I guess if it is only available to the European customers, they use the serial number of the registered PDA to figure out where you are from. could anyone find the solution?
