UPGRADE: Huawei releases Android 4.0 "Demo" Upgrade for the Huawei Honor - promises more to follow

I'm not exactly sure what Huawei means with "demo version" but the Chinese giant just announced, that it's going to roll-out Android 4.0/Ice Cream Sandwich through Q2 and Q3, starting right today with the Honor U8860. According to Huawei, it should be noted that "the Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade is a demo version and therefore may have limitations". No words yet which kind of limitations or when the final release can be expected. Nevertheless, for the brave of us, Huawei's Android 4.0 upgrade-love is now available as a 258.11 MB English "Cambodia Demo version". The Huawei U8800Pro and Huawei Honor C8860E will also receive an ICS demo upgrade later this quarter.

Furthermore, Huawei announced that the Huawei Mercury M866, Huawei Honor U8860-51 and Huawei G300 will receive the ICS demo upgrade in Q3.

Cheers ~ Arne

What the f*ck is a Cambodian demo version? No, I'm not brave enough to test it but it's really time Huawei to finally release the official ICS upgrade! My Honour is a strong device but with Gingerbread it feels so outdated! :-(
