It's a while already that I was writing about Syncdata's SmartphoneNotes 2.0 Beta and it took even longer to finalize it but today, Syncdata announced the release of SmartphoneNotes 2.0, the latest version of the award-winning text notes organizer for Windows mobile-based Smartphone.
The new version includes many new features, enabling users to organize and retrieve information easily and intuitively:

  • Support for various background colors and categories just like desktop Outlook
  • Possibility to arrange and filter notes by color and categories
  • Simple and effective navigation due to the \"multitap\"-style selection
  • Support for notes encryption - users can now protect sensitive information from undesired access with a password

In addition, SmartphoneNotes 2.0 brings the same features that made it popular among Smartphone users - automatic parsing of URLs and phone numbers in notes, synchronization with Microsoft Outlook on the desktop and full integration with the Smartphone platform.

SmartphoneNotes 2.0 supports natively all Windows Mobile Smartphone versions (from Smartphone 2002 to Windows Mobile 5 devices) including those with QVGA screen.

SmartphoneNotes 2.0 is available now for most Smartphone devices. Support for Orange Smartphones is not available yet. Price is US$ 15,95 ; owners of earlier versions of SmartphoneNotes can upgrade to the new version for US$ 5,95 only. Customers who purchased SmartphoneNotes 1.2 after May 1st, 2005 can upgrade free of charge until December 15th, 2005.

Cheers ~ Arne
