While Motorola is currently rolling-out its long awaited Android 2.1/Eclair upgrade for Motorola Droid/Motorola Milestone customers, not all Milestone users have received the latest Android version yet. Furthermore, Motorola has a couple of other Android smartphones, like the Motorola Cliq, Dext and Backflip, which also eagerly awaiting the upgrade bits. According to Motorola, the company is still working closely with Google and its carrier partners to bring customers the most optimized experience on each of its Android smartphones and Motorola has recently updated the schedule for estimated Android 2.1 updates. According to this info, most updates should be rolled-out in Q2-10 with some to follow in Q3-10:

In general, the schedule looks quite promising except for Motorola Devour and European and Latin American Motorola Dext (the rest of the world version of the Motorola Cliq) customers where upgrades are still under evaluation, even if Motorola previously promised to offer a 2.1 upgrade for the Dext.

Cheers ~ Arne
