Well, as powerful as Windows Mobile smartphones are, sometimes you might have an information overload as well. During a meeting you received a bunch of new E-Mails, SMS and MMS messages and even have missed calls, just to forget to read everything right after the meeting because you have something different in mind. Looks like DontForget - which was just released in v2.5 - could be the answer. It's an easy-to-use and highly customizable Windows Mobile Standard application that can repeatedly remind you of unread SMS text messages, unread MMS multimedia messages, unread E-Mails, missed calls and missed calendar events by sound, vibration, notification window or hardware LED.

But it is not just an extension for Windows Mobile operating systems which should already be present and preinstalled by Microsoft or the ODM. DontForget can do much more. You can also schedule to automatically switch your device to a certain profile, switch to the Flight-mode or switch the device completely off on a given time of deactivation and much more.

DontForget works with all Windows Mobile 5 Smartphone and Windows Mobile 6 Standard smartphones with a default QVGA screen resolution and requires .NET Compact Framework 1.0 only (a Windows Mobile Pocket PC/Professional version is in work but not yet available).
The full version is available for 10 Euro but a fully functional 15 days trial version is available as well. According to the developer, by purchasing the license you automatically get technical support, upgrades and future enhancements and the income is used to contribute to special school for sightless children (quite nic, this alone is worth the 10 Euro).

Cheers ~ Arne
