UTILITY: Dynamo - a dynamic task manager for Pocket PC

We've always looked for ways to manage running applications on the Pocket PC. Some OEMs have even included their own to make it easier to manage running applications on a multi-tasking Pocket PC.

Designed for the Windows Mobile 2003 powered Pocket PCs, this utility requires the .Net Compact Framework which comes with Windows Mobile 2003.

The interesting thing about Dynamo is that it creates screenshots of running applications and shows them on screen for easy access. Tapping on an image makes it zoom in to fill the screen. You can also close applications from within Dynamo and watch as the remaining windows dynamically rearrange themselves in the screen.

Using it as a task killer is also an easy task. Simply holding down the assigned hotkey and simultaneously tapping on the image of the application closes that particular application.

When running numerous applications simultaneously, it may be difficult to see these images. Simply tapping and dragging on the image zooms it in a bit to give a more recognizable image.

Dynamo is available for US$ 14.95 and can be found in the Aspecto Software site

Looks like a great app but unless I'm doing smething terribly wrong the trial from Handango just loads a text page :?where the .msi file should be - any thoughts would help as I would love to actually try this out before purchase.

[1] Download the .msi file to your PC and start it there. Make sure your device is ActiveSynced with the PC.
From there it should be installed on your Pocket PC.

It would be nice if the app allows you to manipulate a certain application while keeping another application in view (like in the desktop).  With it we can write something in 'Pocket Word' while looking at a reference saved in 'Notes' at the same time.  Ain't this a great idea?  tongue
