Already available for Apple iPhone/iPod Touch and BlackBerry, Google now released Google Mobile App for Windows Mobile as well which allows you to faster search on your Windows Mobile device, with easy access to your favorite Google applications, either straigt from the Today screen or through a shortcut from any application. There's no need to wait for a browser to open to begin a search and with search history available to reduce typing, you can get your search results with fewer clicks than before. For an even speedier experience, Pocket PC users can add the Google Mobile App to the start menu or configure a hardware key to provide easy and fast access from within any application on the phone.

Google Mobile Apps is now available for all devices running Windows Mobile in the US, UK, Canada, France, Italy, Spain, and Germany. Unfortunately, which is no wonder at all, it's incompatible with most other non-Microsoft Today screen applications like HTC TouchFLO. Nevertheless, since it's assignable to hardware keys as well, it's also and interesting additions to devices with 3rdparty Today screen plug-ins.

Cheers ~ Arne
