With mcePhone for Skype, developed by one of the most active MCE developers called Christoph Buenger, your Microsoft Windows XP Media Center 2005 turns into a full communication machine. Now you can call anyone else on Skype, anywhere in the world for free or place calls to any landline or mobile phone.
While a call is in progress, you can continue using your Media Center as normal. The plugin also shows all Skype call-lists and voicemails. You can listen to voicemails right from your TV. If a call comes in on Skype (SkypeIn or VoIP call), you can decide whether to accept the call, reject the call or just to ignore it. If you accept a call, the current playing media (i.e. live TV or a movie) can be paused automatically by the plug-in or the volume can be lowered or muted.

All these function are accessible just with your Media Center remote control on your TV or PC monitor without leaving the Media Center UI or couch!

mcePhone for Skype is still in beta and the final version may vary from shown screenshots and description. To test the Beta yourself, you can download it from Christoph's project page for free.

Cheers ~ Arne
