Sure, you can spend a "couple" of Dollars for a full featured remote viewer like available from Soti (and which I use for screenshots on the::unwired), or you use a free version instead.
If you don't need all the features Soti's Pocket Controller Professional offers, you might want to try MTUX My Mobiler instead which lets you view and control your Windows Mobile device by using desktop keyboard and mouse your desktop; copy & paste texts between you Windows Mobile device and and desktop PC as well as capture screenshots and even drag and drop files to your mobile.

My Mobiler requires an ActiveSync or Windows Mobile Device Center connection and is supports with any Windows Mobile device running Windows Mobile 2003 and Second Edition, Windows Mobile 5.0 and Windows Mobile 6.

Now, if the developer could remove the status icon from the Taskbar or making its appearance optional only.

Cheers ~ Arne
